Dinamo secured a 3:1 comeback victory over NK Varaždin in the fourth round of the 2023/24 HNL season. Varaždin stunned the hosts early when Mladenovski headed in a corner from Canjuga in the 29th minute to make it 1:0.

Varaždin began brightly and in the 7th minute Mamut forced a save from Dinamo goalkeeper Ivan Nevistić with a powerful effort. He had another chance in the 38th minute but shot wide. Arbër Hoxha had a chance to wrap it up two minutes later but shot wide. In the 90th minute Mudražija, introduced off the bench, struck the post and the rebound fell to him for 3:1. In the first minute of added time Mudražija combined with Mislav Oršić, Belju returned the pass and Mudražija finished low past Silić to make it 3:1.
