NK Varaždin has signed Iuri Tavares, a forward from Charlotte FC, further strengthening their attack in the Croatian First League. The 24-year-old Cape Verde international, who previously played for Crown Legacy FC, joins the club in search of more playing time. Tavares played 33 matches last season, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist, but this year he was limited to just 21 minutes in five substitute appearances. General manager Zoran Krneta emphasized that Tavares was a great professional and believed in the club's vision. This transfer comes at a time when NK Varaždin aims to improve their standing in the league. The club hopes that Tavares will contribute his talent to the team's success in the upcoming matches. Additionally, Charlotte FC retains a 20% sell-on clause, which could be beneficial for both parties in the future.
