NK Varaždin has completed the first week of winter preparations. Nikola Šafarić, the coach and sports director, highlighted that the conditions were tough, but the team adapted well.
The team played its first friendly match against Sesveta and won. Šafarić said that the new signings, Ivan Canjuga, Gregor Sikošek and Silvio Ilinković, are a good opportunity for the club.
Šafarić highlighted that the new signings have experience in the HNL and will be important for the club. He also said that the coaching staff will focus on the defensive segment of the game.
NK Varaždin wants to remain a stable first-league team and qualify for the upper part of the table. Šafarić emphasized that the main goal is to be a financially stable first-league team.
