NK Varaždin finished their season in the Conference League with an exit against Jablonec. Although Varaždin's players won 3:2 in the first leg of the second qualifying round at home, Jablonec won 2:0 in the return and advanced with a total score of 4:3.

According to the UEFA system of distributing money for the 2026/2027 season, each club receives a fixed 175,000 euros for each played qualifying round. Varaždin started the competition in the second qualifying round of the Conference League, so they received 175,000 euros for the match against Jablonec. In addition, they will receive 350,000 euros, which is the bonus for clubs that finish the competition in the second qualifying round.

The total amount for Varaždin looks like this: 175,000 euros for the second qualifying round, 350,000 euros for the bonus and a total of 525,000 euros.

The exit cost them an additional 375,000 euros. If Jablonec had progressed and then been eliminated in the third qualifying round, Varaždin would have received 175,000 euros for two played rounds and an elimination bonus of 550,000 euros. In that case, they would have earned a total of 900,000 euros from UEFA, which is 375,000 euros more than after the exit in the second qualifying round.

The current club will return to the fight for European qualifications in the 2026/2027 season and continue to fight for victory.
