NK Varaždin Signs Nigerian from American League!
NK Varaždin has signed Nigerian player Emmanuel Uchegbu from Charlotte FC, who played for Crown Legacy FC. The new player will make his debut against Jablonec in the Conference League.
How did Uchegbu arrive at Varaždin?
Uchegbu signed for Slovakian Trenčin in 2023 and played for them for a year and a half with five goals and three assists in 33 matches. In March 2025, he moved to the United States for a million-dollar transfer fee and played for Crown Legacy FC. There, he played with former Kustošija players Rodolfo Alcoc and Baye Coulibaly.
The new player will debut against Jablonec
The new player of NK Varaždin will debut against Jablonec in the Conference League. The first match will be on July 23 in Croatia. Uchegbu played for Crown Legacy FC last season and scored two goals in 13 matches.
What is happening at Varaždin?
The team of Nikola Šafarić has agreed to bring in left-back Elvira Duraković (26) and attacking midfielder Ivan Posavac (28) from Zrinjski this summer. As for outgoing transfers, Antonio Boršić has moved to Tobol, Tin Levanić to Brinje, Vito Težak to Aluminij and Rüfat Abdullazada to Kiryat Shmonu.
