NK Varaždin played out a 0-0 draw with NK Osijek on Saturday, September 19th, at the Gradski nogometni stadion Varteks. The 8th round SuperSport HNL match kicked off at 5 PM and concluded around 7 PM, with police detaining two individuals prior to the start.
One person was detained for attempting to bring pyrotechnics into the sports facility, while another tried to enter the stadium in an intoxicated state. Both were handed over to the competent state attorney's office for further proceedings.
The draw against Osijek keeps Varaždin in fourth place in the table with 15 points from eight games played. The team is now just one point behind leaders Dinamo Zagreb. This marks the third consecutive league draw for the white-and-blues, following stalemates against Istra 1961 and Gorica.
